I'm Franklin Ohaegbulam.

I conceptualize, design, and build thoughtful digital products.

I'm a frontend-focused full-stack engineer who enjoys turning ideas into polished digital experiences. I build fast, accessible, and scalable web and mobile applications with a strong focus on user experience, performance, and maintainable code.

My work spans SaaS platforms, AI-powered applications, headless commerce, browser extensions, developer tools, and cross-platform mobile apps. I enjoy building products from concept to deployment, combining thoughtful design with solid engineering to create software that is both intuitive and reliable.

Before transitioning into software engineering, I worked as a graphic designer, creating brand identities, marketing materials, and social media campaigns. That experience continues to influence how I build products today. It taught me to think beyond implementation and pay close attention to typography, color, visual hierarchy, accessibility, and the subtle interaction details that make software enjoyable to use.

While frontend engineering is where I spend most of my time, I'm comfortable working across the stack. I regularly build APIs, integrate AI capabilities, work with headless CMS platforms, connect third-party services, and deploy production-grade applications. I enjoy solving problems that sit at the intersection of design and engineering.

I'm particularly interested in artificial intelligence, developer tools, renewable energy, blockchain technology, and products that improve how people learn, work, and collaborate. Recently, I've been exploring Python while continuing to deepen my understanding of AI systems and product engineering.

Outside of programming, I enjoy reading, learning languages, listening to music, playing football and video games, and traveling whenever I have the opportunity. I'm naturally curious and enjoy learning about different cultures, with the long-term goal of becoming a polyglot.

I also enjoy writing about software engineering and sharing what I learn with the developer community. Over the years, I've published technical articles for FreeCodeCamp, In Plain English, React Play, DeveloperDAO and other platforms, covering topics ranging from React and JavaScript to frontend architecture and modern web development.

Open Source

Open source has played an important role in my growth as an engineer. I've contributed to the codebase and/or documentation of the following projects and others.

How I Work

Step 11

Discovery

Every project starts with understanding the problem, the users, and the product goals. I take time to gather requirements, identify constraints, and plan an approach before writing code.

Step 22

Design

Whether starting from an existing design or creating one from scratch, I focus on building intuitive user experiences with clear information hierarchy, accessibility, and consistency across the product.

Step 33

Build

I develop scalable web and mobile applications using modern technologies, emphasizing clean architecture, reusable components, performance, and maintainability. My goal is to build products that are easy to extend as requirements evolve.

Step 44

Test & Refine

I continuously test across devices and browsers, improve accessibility, optimize performance, and refine the overall user experience. Small improvements often make the biggest difference.

Step 55

Launch & Iterate

Shipping is only the beginning. After deployment, I monitor performance, gather feedback, fix issues, and continue improving the product through thoughtful iteration.
